TROPICAL MUSIC, Record & Publishing company, was established 1976 by music journalist Claus Schreiner, author of such standard-books as MUSICA POPULAR BRASILEIRA (Engl.Title THE MUSIC OF BRAZIL) and also producer and host of radio programs on Latin American Music since 1977 on German Public Radio. TROPICAL MUSIC offers, and edits, a large selection of Latin American Music and Worldmusic in Germany and Europe. Apart of the CD catalogue of over 130 titles we release Music-DVDs and Audiobooks in German. The label is distributed in Germany in record stores through SONYBMG, in Downloadshops through Finetunes. In Europe the label has distributionpartners in all major territories.

All recordings, which present an excellent sound quality, are carefully edited, so as to offer high quality information material matching the standard of the recordings. This includes publishing the original lyrics of the songs, biographical data on the artists, as well as information on the roots of the music.
